“Did anyone tell you the cup was a Portkey?”
At this point in time, I think it is safe to assume that I have lost count of the number of times I have re-read and re-watched Harry Potter.
If, however, you ask me to name one book, or one moment that is my ultimate favourite, it has to be Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and more specifically, ‘The Graveyard Scene’ in the village of Little Hangleton.
The Goblet of Fire strikes a delicate balance between the ‘coming of age’ emotions of Harry and gang, and the wizarding world at the threshold of a very real threat in the form of Lord Voldemort.
So you can imagine my absolute delight when Lego launched ‘The Rise of Voldemort’ building set.
With 184 pieces and a build time of approximately 2 hours, this set has an incredible amount of – frankly very impressive- details.
Notice Pettigrew’s arm, the Triwizard Cup, Tom Riddle’s Tombstone and Potters Triwizard Tournament jersey- all of which were my personal favourites.
To complete the look, I used my Harry Potter pop-up book to create the eerie back-drop and re-created the part where Harry is pinned, defenceless, against the tomb.
With the actual set however, you can play around with the pieces and recreate any part of the scene as you fancy – it even comes with a tiny Voldemort in swaddle clothes and a cauldron to pop him into!
